WHY PARTICIPATE?

Since 2009 the Van Hemert Academy has been held at the Boise State University Student Union Building.  This training (called the Academy) provides seminars on understanding leadership styles, human relations skills, school business skills, facilitation skills, and many more practical leadership activities.  Participants will also attend four meetings a year which are held in local regions throughout the state.  These Regional sessions provide an opportunity for collegiality and support on individual professional growth plans through presentations by participants and roundtable discussion of issues.  School districts directly benefit from having their administrators trained in current leadership skills.

University credit is available for this program from several Idaho institutions offering administrative programs.
