WHAT IS IT?

Project Leadership is a three-year training program for all levels of school administrators in Idaho and is sponsored by the Idaho Association of School Administrators. Superintendents throughout the state have sent their school and central office administrators to this program for over thirty years.  Approximately 800 participants have graduated from Project Leadership.

WHY PARTICIPATE?

Since the 1980's, the Van Hemert Academy continues to be a meaningful opportunity for administrators throughout the state to collaborate and grow as leaders. This training (called the Academy) provides seminars on understanding leadership styles, human relations skills, school business skills, facilitation skills, and many more practical leadership activities.  Participants will also attend five meetings a year which are held in local regions throughout the state.  These Regional sessions provide an opportunity for more collegiality and support on individual professional growth plans through presentations by participants and roundtable discussion of issues.  School districts directly benefit from having their administrators trained in current leadership skills.

University credit is available for this program through Idaho State University.
