Happy President's Day. It will be a busy week down here at the State House. We should be hearing both H 447 tax credit (voucher) and H 521 Facilities sometime this week. Stay tuned for those two. School Boards also are hosting Day on the Hill today and tomorrow, so there will be lots of School Board members and Superintendent here as well. Today in house ed and Senate ed, there will be presentations by Ryan Cantrell on Data Driven Instruction as well as a presentation on AI. There are two new RSs in House Ed . Feb. 7. Senate State Affairs will hear the new library materials bill at 8:00am MT this morning. It will be an RS today and is the combination of several other library bills that we have already seen printed this year. Cook is having his bill, SB 1253 dealing with establishing provisions requiring certain internet filters on computer devices used by children. Basically a switch that can be turned off on you tablets or phones that does not allow porn. While today may be a little slow, we anticipate the tax credit "voucher" bill to be heard this week, the facilities bill should run on Wednesday or Thursday, and the IETA conference is at the center on the Grove the end of the week.
