JFAC approved the amended K12 budget and we have discretion with insurance with reporting that we can talk about later and also keeping IDLA where we need it to be! Great day in JFAC.
SB 1373 literacy/kindergarten funding bill just passed the full Senate on a 31-2 Vote. It will move to house ed, we will probably here it Monday.

Senate Ed did not finish all the bills today. They will meet again on Monday afternoon. Standards passed through and were sent to the the senate floor with a do pass recommendation. We will hear the mask bill on Monday. Senate ed will not meet tomorrow but House ed will meet at 9am.
HB 723 Enrollment passed unanimously in senate Ed! Now heads to the senate floor. Special thanks to Shawn Tiegs and Brady Dickinson for testifying on the bill! All other bills passed except, HB 650 on curriculum committees is being amended. Committee adjourned for the day.

Senate Ed adjourned early after discussion on the literacy/Kindergarten bill without any voting. We are trying to find out the direction this bill will go now. Hopefully come back and vote on it tomorrow. I will keep you posted as Dale and I learn more. Enrollment is currently on the schedule for tomorrow.

HB 723 enrollment passed 39-26 through the full house this afternoon. It will be heard in Senate Ed and as long as it passes that, through the full Senate all next week.
HO 651 drug testing substitutes was just killed on the House floor with a 38-31 Vote.
The new RS for enrollment passed out of House Ed by voting to go through to a second reading. This moves it to the full house floor, hopefully will be heard in the next couple of days. Ill send out the bill information once it receives a bill number. This version of enrollment gives us two years of enrollment funding and puts in place an interim committee to look at enrollment and a funding formula.
